Welcome to Soccer Domain Summer Select 2009
The Soccer Domain is happy to announce a continuation of its highly successful Summer Select Program in 2009. The Soccer Domain pioneered the summer select movement in 2004 and has been at the forefront of its development thereafter.
Summer soccer in the North East area has flourished in the past few years and continues to be an important part of player development in our area. The Soccer Domain remains the program for players to showcase their talents in challenging tournaments and an intense training environment.
The Soccer Domain Summer Select Program has prided itself, and will continue to pride itself, on the training the players receive throughout the summer. Training and playing styles remain constant throughout our teams and gives players an opportunity to express themselves in game situations. There will be specific emphasis placed on technical development within our program. Players are taught the importance of ball control, allowing them to pass the ball with speed. Players thus are able to fit into teams who play in a fluent, attacking mindset. Please take a look at the player development page to see lists of achievements from players involved in our program over the summer of 2008.
Our program will continue to evolve in 2009, with new initiatives being introduced to improve players experience and development. A progressive schedule will be implemented so players of all ages have something to aspire to. New, challenging schedules will give the players exposure to high level competition. For more information regarding schedules please click on the relevant age group link.
The program will look to improve from the model of 2008. More emphasis will be placed on players playing age appropriate. Exceptions will be made however at the discretion of the program director. All players are welcome to try out at multiple age groups but must try out at their own age group.
This program guarantees that ASC coaches working in the summer select program will not recruit any players for their teams coached by ASC. There were no players moving clubs as a result of the summer selct program. The program director insists that any conflict with club team should result in the player participating for their club over the select team.
