The Soccer Domain are happy to announce the formation of a U15-18 club for both boys and
girls teams. The club will be called Soccer Domain Football Club 09.

The Soccer Domain will continue to train teams from U8-14 and will not form any SDFC 09 teams at those age groups. The Soccer Domain will look to build on the success it has had with teams such as the Aristocats< Marauders,Thunderbolts, Colchesters and Gaucos. The desire is to offer all our Elite Youth Soccer players a pathway to college soccer.

The program will be based on the training that the Soccer Domain will provide. The teams formed from U15-18 will only be led by the most experienced and skilled Soccer Domain staff. As well as the tutelage of the Soccer Domain staff the club will also look to create, build and evolve relationships to provide every player with all the tools to be a college soccer player.

An example of this is the relationship with Sports University, who will provide all players with the soccer specific physical training they need to excel in the sport at the high school age level.

The most challenging tournament schedules will be sought for every team. This will supplement their development and more importantly give them the exposure to college coaches at showcases. The Soccer Domain will continue to develop relationships with Adidas and US Club Soccer to ensure entry into desired tournaments. The Soccer Domain will form teams at U15-18 ready for the 2009-2010 season. Please see the try out details for further information.

SDFC 09 is Directed by Soccer Domain owner Ashley Hammond (AH). His thoughts and vision for the Club are shown in the interview below;

Q. How do you feel about the implementation of a new club at Soccer Domain beginning at U15?
AH: In this world the ability to reinvent yourself is crucial. Virtually all of the towns that we work with do not offer a serious alternative past the U14 age group and the clubs that we are training have encouraged us to take the lead in this area to help preserve the U14 programs within their own clubs and offer players a great opportunity for their players with college placement.

Q. What will be the benefits for players in this program?
AH: We have one of the most senior, experienced coaching staff with excellent retention and loyalty rates in pour company. This translates into superb on field coaching and copious amounts of experience in developing young players in the tape room, and with strength and conditioning. We have a year round option with Soccer Domain and outstanding availability and use of turf fields. We have prepared many players for college and National team duty and continue to place teams in the top ten across the country. This all adds up to the “knowledge” on how to do this!

Q. How has your experience with the Montclair Aristocats and Thunderbolts aided your ability to create a club within the Soccer Domain framework?
AH: For the Cats we wrote the “book” on U7 to U18 in 11 easy years!!!! Like Edison I have found a thousand ways how not to do it. The Thunderbolts have had a much sharper learning curve because of the lessons learned from the Cats and this spring board plus many lessons learned from our equally successful boys teams at the younger age adds up to the right “recipe” for success.

Q. What are the goals for this new program?
AH: To offer a serious alternative to players who currently have limited opportunities within their own club past the U14 age group. We would like to be recognized as a place where players can get college exposure and help with their placement. With Soccer Domain we have a ready made European style “club house” and we will encourage players to treat it like that and train often and well!

Q. What will your role be within this club?
AH: I will offer my many years experience in training players through U18 both on and off the field but, with a crack staff of younger coaches and a very organized, energetic and talented director my role is also to enjoy! Ensuring that staff training and preparation is in order and that curriculum is well planned, well written and appropriate will also be main stays of my work in the program but most importantly to support the Director and staff of the program.
