SDA has authored its own booklet for this purpose, entitled The ABC's of Coaching, in addition to a complete set of Soccer Lesson Plans. Organized soccer trips, including competitions, have taken place in England, Holland, Denmark, and other parts of Europe, as well as Kenya and Japan. SDA focuses on cutting-edge aspects of youth soccer development, such as nutrition, fitness conditioning, and developing the total athlete.

SDA has an ongoing program of coaches and referee clinics, teaching the unique soccer education system developed by the company. SDA has authored its own booklet for this purpose, entitled The ABC's of Coaching, in which we explain our fundamental principles of sports teaching. Additionally, SDA has penned complete sets of Soccer Lesson Plans for grades pre-K-8 that are useful for professionals and volunteers alike.

In 1999, SDA published a nationally-distributed book, Goal! The Ultimate Guide for Soccer Moms and Dads. This book contains all of our philosophies and teaching methods. It is available in many bookstores and can also be purchased from us at a discounted price.

We are very proud of the book. It is given to our new staff in the U.K. at the time they are hired, and forms a substantial part of our US orientation. SDA's focus is on education; we believe in players being taught by great teachers and not just great players. ___________________________

Sports Domain Academy (SDA) - formerly Ashley's Soccer Camp - is headquartered in Montclair, New Jersey- a heavily populated community located 30 minutes from Manhattan and 15 minutes from the Meadowlands.

SDA Facts:
SDA trains and coaches in over 40 towns in New Jersey & Massachussetts.
SDA total player participation is over 7,500 per year.

Ages of participants range from 4 (KinderKickers) to 19. Ability level ranges from beginner to State Champions and Olympic-level players. ASC trains elite and club level teams in the Mid-New Jersey, Northern Counties Select, and Super Y leagues.

As of Fall 2008, SDA employs a professional staff of over 60 licensed full-time coaches, many of whom have played soccer professionally in their home country. All have extensive coaching and teaching experience. This core staff is supplemented by licensed part-timers and a summer staff of 70 coaches and assistants, plus hundreds of parent volunteers.

Our Coaches:
SDA has hand-picked staff from around the world adding an international flavor to all our sports coaching. We have focused our recruitment on international players, coaches and students of sport who understand modern athletics, yet have the sports teaching and sports psychology background to bring a unique voice to these young players.

Typically, our coaches have degrees and extensive experience in sports teaching, psychology, strength & conditioning, along with a passion for the respective sports.

Mentoring:
SDA provides counseling for college scholarship and Olympic Development bound athletes. SDA also contributes to a scholarship fund for female athletes at Montclair State University.

Donations and volunteer community service include Camp scholarships and work within the public school system.
